fist discrepancy

hey lamar, you are always one to advocate the use of the vertical fist almost exclusively. however, ted wong teaches the horizontal fist for the corkscrew hook, the shovel hook (upside down horizontal fist), and the cross. may you explain this dicrepancy?

No, that is not a discrepancy, those are different techniques! I teach those techniques as well! The vertical fist is for the lead straight and the jik chung chuie (straight blast).
