Hi Dani!
You are trying to overcomplicate things! FORGET what is said in the Tao of Jeet Kune Do about the different kicks! That is just an overly thorough breakdown of various kicks. Concentrate on the fact that there are eight primary kicks in Jeet Kune Do, and they are all very direct. They are:
Jik Tek - Straight Kick
Juk Tek - Side Kick
Oou Tek - Hook Kick
Hou Tek - Back Kick
Dum Tek - Stamp Kick
Qua Tek - Inverted Hook Kick
Juen Tek - Spin Back Kick
So Tek - Sweep/Reverse Hook Kick
Once you get these kicks down, then start experimenting with different ways to use them and different possible combinations. The possibilities are endless if you just open your mind and go with it! Also, remember that tae kwon do uses a different method of kicking which is nowhwere near as efficient as Jeet Kune Do's kicking method. I worry about your tae kwon do training interfering with your Jeet Kune Do, as the movements of the two arts are completely different in every way!

"What is Jeet Kune Do (JKD)? Chinese martial art, definitely! It is a kind of Chinese martial art that does away with the distinction of branches, an art that rejects formality, an art that is liberated from tradition." __Bruce Lee
