Hello Everyone!

This post was prompted by some recent activity around me that I found to be a bit disappointing to say the least! I figured that most of the members of my organization would be gung ho and good to go on acquiring any possible information on Jeet Kune Do! I was recently in a bookstore with a few different students at different times. I asked them if they had my book to which they replied no. I then showed them the book, of course thinking they would jump at the chance to acquire it on the spot. Instead, they took about ten seconds to thumb through it, then put it back on the shelf. needless to say I was VERY DISAPPOINTED to see this! It is as if they are thinking, "Why do I need a book, I have the real deal right here?" Well, in a sense that is true but I have NEVER, I repeat NEVER turned down any source of knowledge for this art, whether it was put in front of me by someone else, found in a store on my own or acquired off eBay! Same goes for DVDs and videos. Anything can be a source of learning and improving your abilities! I even purchase four or five different fitness related magazines every month in an effort to discover the latest training that might be helpful to me, and to research the latest nutritional supplementation. I get EXCITED about this stuff! Research, develop and GROW! It's just that simple! Do not rule out any potential source of improvement! That is how Bruce Lee got so good! He never just walked away from anything that he saw as a possibility to improve, whether it was his mind or his body! Wake up guys! Do what it takes to improve!

"What is Jeet Kune Do (JKD)? Chinese martial art, definitely! It is a kind of Chinese martial art that does away with the distinction of branches, an art that rejects formality, an art that is liberated from tradition." __Bruce Lee

I totally agree on this, even things not related to martial arts can be a training. Like painting a house is a great forearm/shoulder training

But isn't also a fact that we have to accept that not everyone is into Martial Arts as some people are? Maybe they just wanna train a bit, but don't want to become a true master?
When this is not the case however, it sure is pretty ignorant of them...
