Hi, i'm alex and i've been a Bruce Lee/JKD fan for about 5 years now. The only problem is i live near Newark, New Jersey, and i cant seem to find a kwoon around here. Is it possible for me to learn JKD any other way?

Also, I was born with Cerebral palsy which means I cant lift my legs high enough to kick. I still think i could learn most of the moves and principles of JKD, like the Punches and the Lin sil Die Dar, all the footwork etc.
Sifu i Would love to hear anything you have to say about teaching jkd to disabled people; I figure since it is such an adaptable martial art it would be alot easier for me to learn than karate or tkd.

All replies appreciated
Alex

Hello Alex!

Welcome to our JKD family! I hope that you will visit the forum often and please feel free to post any questions that you may have, or add to any threads already in existence. Yes, I think it is highly possible for you to learn most of the Jeet Kune Do system! As broad a spectrum as we have in techniques and training methods, I'm sure there is enough there to keep you busy learning for a long time! Pleaase feel free to ask any questions that you may have regarding specifics of training and techniques!
