Hello Dani!
Welcome back to the forum! Your presence has been missed! I am happy to hear that you are making some progress with your ab work! I know you have been working hard, so you certainly deserve it! For more information on what I am doing these days as far as physical training goes, please see my series of posts below to Wim. And by the way, thanks for the compliment!
For lin sil die dar (simultaneous defense and attack) movements, just train them over and over and over until they become second nature. Eventually when a certain corner is attacked, your response will be automatic without thought!
To take the monotony out of footwork, imagine an opponent in front of you. Bring your footwork to life by moving around, imagining that the opponent is trying to circle you to the left ot the right, moving in on you or moving away from you! Also practice moving into action quickly from a relaxed neutral position. You never know when you might be attacked, and you won't always have time to assume the bai jong position! In time your footwork will become light and quick, and you will be able to move in any direction with equal speed! That is your goal for footwork! Quick, smooth, light and yet still explosive!
Well, I have to run now! Lots to get done today! I hope you will be visiting and posting on the forum often! It is great to have you back! Take care and God Bless!
Keep Blasting!

"What is Jeet Kune Do (JKD)? Chinese martial art, definitely! It is a kind of Chinese martial art that does away with the distinction of branches, an art that rejects formality, an art that is liberated from tradition." __Bruce Lee
