Hello Wei Lin!
That book has some good things in it, but also many things that should be ignored! The proper bai jong emphasizes the immoveable elbow theory from Wing Chun Gung Fu! The lead elbow stays about a fist's distance from the body at all times. This places the lead hand slightly closer to the opponent for even greater non telegraphic striking capability, and also places you in a position where your lead hand/arm is less likely to be trapped or pinned to your body! See my post below to better understand why I feel the way I do about what certain "other" JKD groups are doing with Bruce Lee's art!

"What is Jeet Kune Do (JKD)? Chinese martial art, definitely! It is a kind of Chinese martial art that does away with the distinction of branches, an art that rejects formality, an art that is liberated from tradition." __Bruce Lee
