I post the post I do because alot of this arguing is for naught. People will train in what they see fit. I believe in what Sifu Davis is saying in reference to wing chun, learn a little and use it.(Not the whole kitchen sink:). Also, I had a JKD instructor who taught alot of boxing and kicking with little,I meAn very little trapping, but I made use of what I have. And I teach what little I know si I can grow and multiply. Yes, all these past students of Sijo Lee Have something special. But in a nut shell, WHat bruce taught these people was like tailor made for them, great to learn but tailor made for them. I read a lot of books and use what I feel is useful. I live in the inner city here in the midwest, And I will say test your abilities in the Ghetto->LA,WATTS,ANd any other project community and see your results.
Mr. Davis, I have you book and the fighting methods of Bruce as well and I use this as my guide with my own creative thought, this is my own expression of the martial arts via using the jeet kune do name. Out of respect and honor for Bruce Lee. I am a Second generation MArtial Artist in my line. So, I am who I am and use what ever vehicle I can to get across this river. If it works then fine if it don't the hell with it.

Sifu Steve Johnson is one of the most proficient Jeet Kune Do practitioners that I have ever had the pleasure to meet! He is an amazing physical specimen, as well as a wonderful person!

Sifu Howard Williams trained with Bruce Lee and James Yimm Lee in Oakland, and is still active and teaching in the Oakland area as far as I know.

Jess Glover was Bruce Lee's first student and assistant instructor in the United States. While he doesn't teach Jeet Kune Do, he is still a valuable piece of the puzzle in the learning of Bruce Lee's art. He is still active and teaching in Seattle, Washington.
