Actually, Rising Sun Productions, who owns the actual footage that was shown of Bruce Lee, is working on putting together a documentary that will include ALL of the footage that was shot of Bruce Lee at the Long Beach Internationals that year! Finally a good clean copy of the footage will be available to all who are interested!

Hi, I have never written on the forum but have watched from a distance. I just thought id comment on this footage. At Seni (Europes biggest martial arts show) Rising Sun showed the footage in it entirety. I was among the privilaged who gt to see it along with three others in my group and about 50 others all together. The footage is amazing. Its about 8 minutes long. Rising sun hope to release it as part of a new film

So they are finally going to do something with the footage, eh? The footage is from Ed Parker's personal collection and has never seen the light of day, until now. A few years back, some group (I can't remember) approached John about doing a martial arts documentary that would incorporate the footage, but John had moved on from the Bruce Lee scene at that point and told me (and them) that he had no interest in it.

Actually James, five minutes of this footage was shown at the L.A. Burbank banquette back in July 2003 with a video introduction to Shannon and Linda done by Joe Hyames.

I was also present at the Seni Show in London this May, and Don Warrener of Rising Sun showed a mini-feature called "The Two Kings; King of Rock and Roll, and King of Kung Fu" with two and a half minute of the footage, and also the five minute presentation from the 2003 banquette.

According to Don Warrener they are going to use it in a feature movie to reach a bigger audience with this footage.

I was speaking specifically of a commercial product available to all, not group showings. I am aware that it has been shown before to some groups, even before 2003.

I believe it was Don Warrener who first apporached John about the potential project.
