Well, the Hardcore Jeet Kune Do Summer Camp is almost here! We have an exciting weekend coming up, with the opening of my new training facility in Oneonta, Alabama. The fee for training will be $180.00 if paid by July 31st. $200.00 if paid after July 31st or at the door. Here is the schedule:
Friday Night (3rd) - 7:00 to 9:00
Saturday (4th) - 1:00 to 5:00
Saturday Night - Dinner (8:00 at The Dragon Chinese Restaurant in Birmingham)
Sunday (5th) - 11:00 to 3:00
I have officially acquired the new building and will have everything ready in time! In case you do not know what I am talking about, the building right next to my old kwoon in Oneonta recently came available for rent! My landlord for the old building owns both of them, and offered to rent the building next door to me as well. It is definitely the best building for a kwoon that I have EVER had! Much better than the Homewood location, which I will be keeping also by the way!
This building is awesome, as it has a very large, wide open space for all training functions, as well as a great room which I have turned into a "Jeet Kune Do Showpiece" room for use only for private lessons, H.I.T. Sessions, the shooting of instructional DVDs and doing photo shoots. Now I can finally complete many projects that I have been needing to finish up! The main training floor has over 2,000 square feet of wide open training space! This new space is the PERFECT place to have seminars, training camps, the Instructor's Conference and other special events (as well as a perfect project planning work place for me). The floor has commercial grade carpet, and the walls are very nice, so very little has been required to turn it into THE Hardcore Jeet Kune Do dream kwoon! Also, combined with the old location, there is a total of over 5,000 square feet! Talk about a huge kwoon! I can't wait for all of you to see the facility!
Oneonta is a much less expensive place to hold events (less expensive hotels, less expensive restaurants and less clutter/congestion than the Birmingham area). It is a very easy drive, and there is never a lot of traffic to deal with!
I hope to see as many of you as possible at the training camp, and you can be looking forward to training in the new location! I have been working on it every day, and it is really looking good! get ready, because you are going to like what you see! Take care and God Bless!
