YES! It's true! I have finally arrived at a design that I am pleased with for the springarm! I have three rough models finished and I have tested them and they work GREAT! I have spent so much money working on my new kwoon that I am pretty much BROKE right now, and I need about $400.00 worth of special tools to go to mass production status, so if you are interested in acquiring one or more springarms, you can be one of the first to get one by actually helping me get what I need to turn them out faster! It is a spring loaded "arm" that allows you to practice your sensitivity and trapping skills. It is great for developing sticking ability. The original springarm that I made back around 1978 or so is still around, although I don't use it much these days (preserving it for historical value). I have had people after me for years now to develop another springarm. They got excited after seeing the original demonstrated on my equipment training DVD.

I will not release any photos until the final project is complete. The prototypes are just "roughs" for use in the equipment training area of my kwoon and will remain that way, and are not suitable for photographing! In other words, they are not a good representative of what the "finished product for sale" will look like!

That sounds like a great training tool. Unfortunately for me I wouldn't know how to use it properly because I don't know proper trapping or sensitivity

I have seen and got to "play" with one of the proto springarms and really liked it. It can be used for chi sao training, bridging training training huen sao or many others. I recommend that anyone that really wants to FEEL get one. Instant feed back and yes if your position is not correct you will get instant frrd back; I had my knuckles whacked a few times. You will learn quickly.
The springarm can be used for chi sao training if you have two of them mounted side by side about 10" apart. How you mount them is up to you. In one quick trip to Home Depot or Lowe's for maybe $10.00 to $20.00 of lumber, and a few tools that most people already have anyway, you can come up with TONS of ideas for mounting your springarm! I'll post some photos of some mounting ideas in a few days when I have finished the training area at my kwoon!

Yes, I built a double spring-arm about
2 or more years ago and it is one of my
best training tools. I had it in on the
wall, but have since built a portable rack
type unit.
This is great for chi sao and all of the
energy drills, when you don't have a partner
available.
Yes, you can pick one up at that time. I can also teach you some drills to do with it!

I have made and sent out enough of these to know more now about production and shipping costs! The cost is $50.00 plus $15.00 shipping and handling to U. S. customers (around $5.00 to $10.00 more for foreign countries). The springarm is used for energy/sensitivity training. Through consistant practice with it you learn more about sticking to an opponent's arm and controlling their movements. You can also work certain traps and lin sil die dar movements (simultaneous defense and attack). Be careful if you get one though! Training with it can become somewhat addictive!

I am always making springarms. I made three yesterday in fact! Right now, everything is still the same price wise, but they will go to full retail cost when the DragonBlast website goes online. You can order anytime, as I have all supplies needed to make them!
