Hello,
Just a question for Sifu Davis and the rest of the people in this forum. I've been interested in finding information on Bruce Lee's training equipment and as of yet haven't found much on the subject. Does anyone know of any books or internet sources in regards to these?

Thanks in advance

Edsel William Aquino

Hi Edsel
I know that the book "The Art of Expressing the Human Body" by John Little has some information about his training equipment.

Training Equipment

Hello Edsel!

I was going to email you, but since you posted here, I'll answer your question here. I did have some photos of myself working with more of Bruce Lee's training equipment, but I don't know exactly where they are now! That is what happens when you have forty years of martial arts photographs built up!

I am working on many special training devices for Jeet Kune Do training, many of them based on some of Bruce Lee's equipment ideas. So far I have about a dozen or so designs that I am working on, with several of them available for sale already. The most important piece of equipment that I have come out with is the springarm. It is awesome for realistic training, and is an important part of all of the training devices that I have designed. Below you will see a photo of the springarm, showing several of the color choices. I have also attached a photo of the mook jong that I designed with spring loaded arms and a heavy duty wooden leg. Watch for my upcoming website that is just for this special equipment ( http://www.DragonBlastMA.com ). I personally design, build and test everything myself.

Thanks Tom,

Yes i've got the book the art of expressing the human body. I've made my own hand gripping machine that holds 75kgs, it was a prototype that i built on seeing a photo briefly. I made it about 4 years ago and it still works quite well.

I think i will get the spring arms from you Sifu Davis, just that my wife will flip it if i ask her for something else this christmas. I have seen the previous posts on how you've mounted them so i've just got to organise how i will do that in my garage. She also hates all the holes that i've put in the wall so far so i guess putting a couple more will have to wait until after Christmas. LOL.

Sincerly

Hi Sifu Lamar
What other ideas do you have that are based on Bruce's equipment? I'm very curious to see what your website will be like
Tom
