Re: What are the best stamina and fat reducing exercises for the martial arts??/

Hi Wei Fan
I'm definitely not an expert in this area and i'm sure there are other people on this forum who are more qualified to answer but I will try my best. I think that your best bet would be to do intensive cardio training that will keep your heart rate up and burn fat. You could try circuit training such as high rep squats, push-ups, burpees, sprinting etc. Just do the exercises fast-paced and switch immediately to the next exercise without resting.
For example:
squats x 60 seconds
push-ups x 60 seconds
burpess x 60 seconds
sprinting x 60 seconds
You definitely don't need to use weights to lose weight. Any kind of exercise is exercise.
I also am no expert on this subject but loosing 15 pounds in three weeks boils down to five pounds a week and that does not sound to healthy. Fighters getting ready for a weigh in drop that type of weight by de-hydration, but gain it back after the weigh in. Why the time limit?
The weight can be lost, but its a matter of why your doing it.
Doing high rep excercises and modifying your diet to lower carb consumption will do the trick. You also have to avoid processed foods as much as possible. What i would do is eat as much fruit and natural meat as you can.
You will lose energy though, but thats why i'm asking what its for.
after about a week or so your energy levels will level off, but you have to keep at it with the fruit and meat and plenty of water. No sugars, no processed stuff.
I did it last year to lose weight, and after 2 months i went from 95kg to 83kg. I had plenty of energy but i didn't cook any of my food, i ate everything raw, including meats and vegetables.
I haven't been game enough to do it again, but iknow for sure it works.
