Hey all,

today i mounted my new springarm. i had a 2x6 lying in my garage so i cut 2 equal pieces 12" each. i drilled holes in one of them and corresponding holes in my basement wall. i took 4 tap-con screws and mmounted the first piece to the wall then i took the second board and mounted it to the board on the wall. i then drilled a 1 1/8" hole through both pieces of wood in the center.

it seems to be a perfect fit and my brother came over to see it and showed him a pak sao and then he tried it and nearly knocked himself out because he did'nt expect the recoil, i almost peed my pants laughing

question for you guys?
what are some of the drills,exercises techniques you do on it?

Gary,

try the Don Chi Sao (single-arm sticking hands) sequence, or a Bong Sao/Lin Lop Sao (cross grabbing hand) combination.

I have 2 spring-arms mounted about shoulder-width
apart and you can do virtually ALL energy drills
on them! It's great!

Here are a few drills I do on Lamar's springarms.

flow - constant forward pressure towards centerline with hits/traps/etc
Beat - entering with the beat and following up
slip - slip drills with hitting (got pads mounted above and below the springarm)
various trapping sequences
energy drills - like cross energy drill, etc. Slight modifications needed sometimes, but not much. Lamar made an amazing device!

Just a few thoughts.

i only have one springarm so alot of it has to be "imagined" thanks for the ideas though
