Hi Lamar,

A friend told me about your website and i am enjoying the informative read.
I have been meaning to take up jeet kune do this year and hopefully visit the states soon.

i enjoyed your MAI article. However i am confused because there seems to be others writing in the same issue on jeet kune do as well like emil martirossian. is he an exponent of your school? or are their simply lots of people teaching jkd and writing for the same magazine.

As for Martial Arts Illustrated, the magazine accepts articles from many different Jeet Kune Do Instructors. Some are more legitimate than others. Some are what we refer to as self-made JKD practitioners, who claim to be more than what they really are! I think you mentioned the name of one such individual. I still haven't gotten the magazine, so I don't know who all is in this issue. I have been told that the article is six pages, and has eighteen color photos, but that is about all I know at this time! I am looking forward to getting some copies soon I hope!

When you do come to visit the United States, come down to my part of the U.S. and schedule your trip at a time when you could attend a seminar or training camp that I may have going on. I guarantee that you would enjoy it! Watch this forum for announcements as to when various events are coming up. I will look forward to hopefully meeting you in person in the near future!
