How are you Sifu Lamar?

I am new here but I have trained in JKD for about a year and a half. I trained over on the West Coast and now my job is moving me to Georgia. Anyway, I saw an article you wrote on Real Combat Online called “Highline Engagements” and I have a question. What are the possible simple traps that can occur from a highline inner wrist to inner wrist engagement? I think a bil sau trap can work from there and my friend thinks a hinging back fist with a pak sau would work there (would a jut sau to the inside work?). We both would like to know what can occur from here as we have done a lot of trapping, but never from this particular engagement.

You do seminars every month in Alabama, is that correct?

The highline inner wrist engagement does not offer as many possibilities as the outer wrist engagement, and you have to be a bit more creative! Both lead and rear hand jut sao can work. Pak sao w/low hit can work. Huen sao/pak sao can work. Huen sao/lop sao can work. Pak sao/qua chuie can work. There are a few others, but these are the most used.

I have two seminars a month, four training camps a year, two Instructor's Conferences a year and one week long Aprentice Instructore Camp a year at my school. Anyone with a serious interest is welcome to attend!
