Hello Jason!
I am pleased to hear that you are enjoying the DVD and learning a lot from it! I didn't play when I decided to do a detailed series on Jun Fan/Jeet Kune Do!
Now, to answer your questions:
Q: Oh yeah, one question (as always) I take it the Seattle baijong is Ted Wong's without the trapping (funny because it looks like it was set up to trap).
A: NO! The Seattle Bai Jong comes from Jun Fan Gung Fu, and has absolutely nothing to do with Ted Wong! The most common use of that stance in Hardcore Jeet Kune Do is, yes, you got it, TRAPPING!
Q: One last thing, I take it the the left cross is not used that often, when it is, do you use the Diagonal fist? I mean when you throw any cross you kind of lean into it, and it would be easier to use the diagonal right?
A: The diagonal or horizontal fist is most often used when firing a cross that is fully committed. The vertical fist is preferred, but not always possible. It (vertical fist) is most commonly used for cutting into the opponent's attack and controlling the centerline.
Keep Blasting!
