Hello Everyone!

We are having the ANNUAL WEEK LONG APPRENTICE INSTRUCTOR'S TRAINING CAMP the week of Monday, July 7th through Saturday, July 12th. This is definitely the Hardcore Jeet Kune Do event of the year, and it is only ONE WEEK away! We are talking a SOLID WEEK of training here with morning, afternoon and evening sessions, covering TONS of material! This is the FASTEST WAY POSSIBLE to progress in the Hardcore Jeet Kune Do system!

The event will be held at the Hardcore Jeet Kune Do Academy, located at 205 2nd Avenue East (Highway 75) in Oneonta, Alabama. If flying in for the event, make your plans to fly into Birmingham International Airport. I would suggest coming in the Sunday before the event to get settled in before training starts on Monday. The first session on Monday will be an afternoon session from 2:00 to 5:00, so that will give those coming in on Monday more time to drive in and get checked into their motel. There are two motels in Oneonta, both with reasonable room rates. If anyone wants a room-mate for the event to cut your hotel expenses in half, please let me know ASAP and I'll try to arrange it for you. I know of one person who is already looking for a room-mate! Everything will be over on Saturday evening, so make plans for your return flight to be on Sunday the 13th.

The Hardcore Jeet Kune Do retail area will be fully stocked, with many unique items as usual. All DVDs will be in stock. There will be lots of Hardcore Jeet Kune Do training clothes available too, including the awesome new Hardcore Jeet Kune Do t-shirts with the dragon/tiger logo on them! I will have a certain amount of equipment available, but if there is anything specific that you would like, please order well in advance so I can have it ready for you! You only have a few days left to order anything if I am to have it built for you to take home with you! Picking this stuff up in person at events is a great way to avoid shipping expenses! All merchandise will need to be paid for IN CASH or in advance through Paypal, so please keep that in mind!

The fee for this event will be $400.00 if paid in advance through Paypal, or the full fee of $500.00 if paid at the door. This is a great deal for all participants, as it involves more training than the week long H.I.T. Session, yet costs a fourth of the price! If paying at the door, all payment is to be made in CASH! That is great to hear! I am looking forward to the opportunity for sure. Out of curiosity Sifu, what is your view of kicks above belt as it relates to JKD and real altercations? I was sitting here looking at the kicking set poster from Yori and there are quite more kicks than I would think that are above waist level.

For me, I don't like it, but perhaps because my kicks above the waist are not that good. Coming from wing chun, it certainly not emphasized and even in our JKD Concepts, only the gua tek is above the waist and I look at that as more of kick to get the opponents hands down, so it is more toward their guard and not so much of directed at the head. I have seen you execute the nao tek kick effortlessly, but curious how you view it is a weapon in battle? I may have just talked myself into doing a lot of kicking sets when I see you next week, but had to ask. LOL!!

I like that. ME PHI ME. Sounds like something Kanye West would say. Thats cool you went there. I went up to TSU almost every weekend my junior year. Partly because I was big into my greek stuff, and they just seem to stroll smoother, and partly because well... It was so easy to get girls. I actually had two stalkers that found me on Facebook that went to school there. LOL. Peace and looking forward to meeting you.
