Maybe it is just me but I am always looking around me when I'm out. It drives my fiance crazy when I do it. But then again my habit is starting to rub off on her. If I was next to that guy I sure in the hell wouldn't be hugging the counter like that. I'm always at least 1 foot away from it and I'm always turning left and right and watching behind me. Not saying the older guy should have been hit but these days you can't trust anyone.

Not sure what being black has to do with committing the crime. Criminals come in all shapes, colors and sizes. Yeah people should learn self defense and a little more about human nature before they post their vile on the internet. Frankly I am not sure which offended me more the act or the neanderthals that think vioence only comes in one flavor.

There was not a single racial statement made, only comments about the nature of the crime and the person that committed it! I was immediately disturbed when I read your post above, thinking I had posted something offensive. I went back and watched the clip three more times, and did not hear one "racist" comment. In fact, I even closed my eyes and listened to it! They could have been talking about someone of any color or nationality! The word "black" was never used. My point had nothing to do with the skin color of the attacker, but only the nature of the crime! Sorry if you were in some way offended, as that was certainly not my intent!

Sifu,

I am sure it was not your intention to inflame an uncivil act even further, but what I was referring to and what was abundantly evident were the posts(comments) under the video. Typically, when I watch a YouTube video, I will scroll down and read the comments and yes there were numerous comments that were at best inflamatory.

I am sure this is not a reflection of anyone on this forum, but merely an indication of how far this nation has to go in terms of healing and understanding each other. Again, I totally understand your point and it is taken independent of the knuckle heads who felt offending a whole race of people was somehow relevant to the horrible act committed by what is basically a coward. I hope they catch the perpetrator and he punished to the fullest extent. People like that would prey on anyone, that older gentleman was most convenient at the time.

Sorry for any confusion and I think we know each others heart well enough Sifu, so with me, its all good sir! Look forward to seeing you next week!

As I stated in the email that I sent you, I had not scrolled down and read any of those things! You are right, some of the comments are hideous! I am surprised that YouTube allows those comments to stand as they are! Sometimes this "free speech" thing goes too far if you ask me! Pathetic ... simply pathetic! Things like that just turn my stomach!

I have tendency to scroll down too. Quite frankly, I would take it further to say they do it to everyone. Even people from foreign countries seem to attack one another. Anywho with that being said. I think the people who write stupid crap like that are just wanting attention. Ad the best way to get them back is to give them none. Peace. Oh yeah I like the ME PHI ME. LOL. Do your own thing.
