Practicality

July 17 2008, 6:36 AM

Hi Andrew!

I think this is a very practical self defense move, but only in extreme situations! It takes lots of practice to be able to form the speartip bil jee at will, and in the blink of an eye. Then there is the accuracy training. I like to use the BOB dummy from Century Martial Arts for that. The speartip bil jee definitely takes more time and work to develop. Once you have it, though, you REALLY have something!

accuracy

thats where I began to question a bil jee to the throat. It seems easier to hit the eyes but after some practice I can see it working.

The idea came from a book which showed an aggressor rushing forward and the one being attacked using a half knuckle to the throat while also moving forward.
