Forward Lunge vs. Push Shuffle...question

Hello Sifu and everyone!

In addition to Jason's post on Closing Speed,
how would you describe the difference between
a Forward Lunge and a fast Push Shuffle? They
seem to be pretty close.

A push shuffle is designed to cover about a foot ... in extreme cases, maybe a foot and a half. The forward lunge is an "all out" effort movement, and covers three to five feet, based on the skill of the practitioner lunging! Also, the push shuffle may or may not involve an attack. The lunge is always executed with an attack! Hope that clears it up for you!
