This looks like it hurt real bad, not just his elbow, but the bar coming down on his back. I would guess he'll have to have surgery on his elbow. Ow.

Yep...

I have 'loose' joints.
When I was 20 I was lifting on a regular basis and was progressing too quickly.
I was doing an incline press with the bar behind my head and my shoulder popped out of socket and the full weight was hanging on my connective tissue.
OUCH.

20 years later, my shoulder still gets thrown out when I am not careful with my punches (especially hooks).
BE CAREFUL

YUCH! That is the worse powerlifting accident I have seen since the infamous "anal prolapse" powerlifting video! I am glad that I am not, nor have ever been, interested in powerlifting!

Keep Blasting!

I've been following the Britain's Strongest Man tournament over the last couple of weeks. It's the qualifier for World's Strongest Man too. These guy's are VERY impressive, the amount of work and dedication it takes to get to their level blows my mind. But in just one heat there was a dislocated shoulder and a torn bicep - 2 world class athletes out of the running, from a field of 6.

That's a high bodycount, and definitely the reason why I wouldn't get into it. (It would be very easy for me to get caught up in powerlifting, I have a very addictive personality! Hehehe!)
