sifu davis i was wondering what are some of the benefits i can get from working on a double end bag

Primarily timing, rhythm, broken rhythm, accuracy and speed!

Recommend this over the regular speed bag? I have noticed alot of martial artists and some boxers have a bias toward the double end bag vs. the speed bag.

With that being said, would it be wise to purchase both?

I have a double end bag and they are very reasonably cost and are something that you don't need to keep up permanently in your training area. I am probably not that creative with mine but in addition to the normal punching drills; I practice the JKD boxing set with it.

im gonna get both eventually but its cause i wanna use the speed bag as a target that represents a head with a shin kick apparatus underneath to practice entering with low line attacks and chung chuie ill probibly use the double end bag more but both have there benefits

Thanks for your input guys. I used to kick the speed bag at school LOL. Anywho, Great Idea with the Straight Blast being practiced on the speed bag.
