does the sol jee in jkd application differs from the one in wing-chun?

in wing-chun its a knife hand whit the arm completely extended and the palm facing down ( like the double sol jee in the sil lum tao form), the main application whit it is to hit the throat whit it.

can someone tell me if it differs in jkd?

Sol Jee is a variation of the finger jab. It means "sweeping fingers". It is exclusively an eye strike, where, with your palm facing down, you sort of "fling" your fingers at the opponent's eyes, as if you were slinging water from your fingertips. It is purely a speed strike, and because of the potential to lacerate the eyeball, should only be used in emergency-type situations.
