Bruce Lee referred to the process of using the whole body to strike as concurring and overlapping circles. Many parts of your body are actually making small circular movements in order for the process of getting the whole body behind the strike to take place. If you break the parts down, then it becomes easier to understand, thus easier to work on. The small circles come from the ball of the foot, the ankle, the knee (both lead and rear), the hips and the waist. While some of the circles are not that obvious, they are still there nevertheless! Work to feel the circular motions, then refine the movements so that none are wasted, then you will really have something! Hope that helps!
