TE150 - Re to your message: bands for "other radios"

by

Hi,
in Your message of feb 2002, Yuo say:
--------------------
"Extra bands in TELCOM TE-150
By Deleo
(Works on some radios)
For these three bands: PMR, LPD and KDR is not needed to open the radio. Just press the "up" and "down" button at the same time you press the "power" button. Hold them until you get the new menu. It will show you different operating modes: P, L, K, PL, LK ,PL , PLK etc. The best mode is PLK, then you will be able to select these three bands through the "Channel" menu.
Other: LO=10mw in LPD band
HI=500mw in LPD band (it may be illegal in some countries)
If you open the radio and "play" with a solder and jumpers you can get a lot of more frequencies, but not all at the same time. A Three Band is enough for me.
Sorry about my English. Deleo."

Now, I've tried to do the buttons sequence on a italian RTX, that is identic to the UK's T-150 (in Italy by GBC) and it doesen't seems to go.
I've also tried to push "Up", "Down", and ->"TX"<- buttons until turning on the RTX (preesing the "power-on button").
The menu is appeared, and I can choose one of theese operative modes: "PMR","P.K.L","K.L","P.L","P.K","LPD","KDR". I've choosed the "P.K.L" mode, as You say, and power mode "HI".
At now, I have not measured the output power to check if it's increased to 500mW in LPD band, I'll do it later...
Try it and tell to the other guys. )
This mod is intended for experimental use only. The RTX can become outlaw in some countries. Check local laws before use.
(Sorry for my English)
