Unbelievable show. I think everyone was happy to see and hear Michael and the band in an outdoor setting. Some said "one of the best ever." Before I get on to the details of Michael and co., let me just say that the opening band, Strain Busy Sky -- they're awesome too. Great bunch of guys and Phil the lead singer is always a pleasure to listen to and watch. They commented on how it was easy to get to the gig as they all just live a few blocks away. But despite that, Phil was late anyway.
OK, on to Michael. He was joined by Klem on bass, Nick on drums, Pat on keyboards and Lance on bodhran for several selections. Michael also played harmonica in addition to guitar. And, despite my rule to refrain from commenting on attire, yup, he wore a hat. I think kind of like the one on the top of the Behind the Curtain Newsletter header.
Here's the set list, but note that I couldn't see during most of the show, someone else took this down and I'm sure it's accurate but corrections are welcome.
