I realize several of the posters and readers of this board are east-coast based and therefore the information isn't relevant; however, in the absence of Pauper's Sky, I hope you'll allow me to include this.

HAMILTON LAKES
Fireworks synchronized to music on the 4th of July at Hamilton lakes, plus music by Gin Blossoms
Friday, July 4, the event starts at 6 p.m. with several vendors offering a variety of picnic style items. The Wyndham Hotel will operate a beer and wine tent. Fireworks at dusk. Advise people to come early to enjoy the park and to get a parking space.
Hamilton Lakes is west of O’Hare airport at the intersection of Route 53 and Thorndale Avenue.
The Gin Blossoms will take center stage at 8:15 p.m. for 90 minutes of exciting pop melodies. The entertainment begins at 6:30 p.m. with Michael McDermott.
Tickets for the Gin Blossoms in a special reserved seating area can be purchased in advance, online for $20 at www.tickets.com, or call 800-955-5566 or stop in at Sears Hardware stores. A limited number of tickets will be available for $25 at the park beginning at 6 p.m. the night of the event.
On-site parking is $5 per car. Area Boy Scouts will collect parking fees.
The fireworks are co-sponsored by Hamilton Partners, Village of Itasca, Hines, American Airlines, Ice Mountain Water, the Daily Herald, the Wyndham Hotel, WLS-AM and 94.7 Zone

Thanks for posting that info, Cindy...actually, I think only I and one other poster that I'm aware of are in fact East Coast folks, so it's very likely far more relevant than you might have realized. And, I'm sure it's much appreciated by those to whom it does apply.

Thanks for the update Cindy. That is alot more information than the event website provides (or at least since the last time I checked). I'm looking forward to the show. Haven't been able to make a show since Clearwater Theatre. The kids are coming to this one too.
