Just curious about the July 4 show, setlist, etc...as always! Although, as per the usual for McDermott shows, I'm sure it was excellent.

Thanks.

July 4 Setlist

HOT SHOW. HOT NIGHT. Michael and the band were really on. Kathy, who sells merch with me didn't arrive until a few songs into the setlist. She thought they were playing "Need Some Surrender" off of the CD b/c it sounded so good.

Michael -- vocals, guitar
Pat -- keyboards
Nick -- drums
Klem -- bass
Rich -- sax
Lance -- bodhran (on Wall for sure, maybe other ones but I didn't get a chance to note)

As far as headcount, I wouldn't say they reached anywhere near 40,000 people; however, the place was pretty darn crowded. As I judge gigs according to merch sales, besides the two "regular" fans who bought shirts and two CDs, I didn't know anyone else who bought Michael's stuff. A lot of new folks bought the Best of CD. And, we sold more than the headliners . . .

Here's the setlist:

1.) Arm Yourself
2.) Sword of Damocles
3.) Need Some Surrender
4.) Getting Off the Dime
5.) Broken Down Fence
6.) Spark
7.) Cal-Sag Road Song
8.) Gonna Be Good
9.) A Wall I Must Climb
10.) Freedom Highway (cover)
11.) Hellfire in the Holyland
12.) Junkie Girl
13.) 20 Miles South of Nowhere

Given the tight timeline to ensure music was over by the time the fireworks began, no encore. Boo hoo.
