Yes, these guys are progressing and developing nicely, but how long with they remain Flyers (Richards excluded)? Somehow, I don't think the likes of Giroux, Parent, and JVR are going to play for free (and even modest raises are in question), and I believe all of us are well aware of the cap situation.

As an example... if Emery continues at the level he's established early on, how do we bring him back? I'm sure he's going to demand a raise on his current $1.5M contract that expires after this season.

While I agree that for the most part, he's judged talent well, that's only a part of what it is to be a GM. He still lacks the skills needed to be a complete package, and judging by the way he spends money, it's a skill he's still not grasping.
