No shame in that

by Sedsey

Betts line had a bad game and Emery was average, but at no time was I sitting there lamenting a Flyers team that wasn't interested, and that makes this a poster loss for the kind that I don't like, but can handle.

Certainly Buffalo had the better start and posts were clanging all over the place. Emery wasn't very good tonight. It could have been ugly if those went in...put all posts as goals and we lost 6-4.

Nice push the in third and especially while short-handed. Start like that on Monday and give it everything and we can beat NJ.

Unfortunately every other Patrick division team got at least a point, with NYR, TANK, and NJ all winning.

Too bad about VanRam, but I'm glad to hear it is just the flu and not his hand.

Powe was tried with Carter and Briere, but eventually abandoned as he wasn't quite a fit.

Bartulis did OK again. I think it was right to start him over Syvret. Parent struggled but we'll have to be patient there.

Faceoff win by Carter...goal...

Faceoff loss by Betts...goal against

That's how close it was, and Buffalo had to play their absolute best to just hang on by their fingernails.
