Jones' cap hit this season was ZERO so long as we kept him in the minors.
Holmgren's move to try and bring him through waivers, which as we all know resulted in him being claimed by another team, now costs us a cap hit of $1.5M. Funny how everyone in the NHL, with the exception of Paul Holmgren, knew that Jones would be claimed, and that the Flyers would receive a cap hit of 50% of the value of his contract as counted against said cap.
I fail to see how that constitutes as a good move by any GM.
