JVR/ Carle and a first? I would do that in heart beat. Rids us of Carle/ drops JVR's contract, and at the end of it, we would get a true power forward, who playing with Giroux would put up 40 a year, no trouble.
His cap hit would be offset by Carles and JVR, and we would actually be ahead in cap space, as we would save over a million a year.
Yes, I would take Nash over the inconsistency of JVR. I don't see how or why we would sign Carle, so we get something for nothing.
Jagr seems to be burnt out, and all the love for him is gone from the beginning of the year. We could walk from him after years end and save another 3 + million.
With the savings on Pronger, the 3 + from Jagr, and the savings from jettising Carle, we could have well over 8 million to buy Suter.
Something to think about anyways.
Mckenzie said the Jackets were looking for a forward, dman, and possibly a goalie....he also said that the Flyers were one of the teams that Nash, who has a no movement clause, would be happy to go to.
