And I mean in the area of making the rulings. That is the biggest problem. If the league really wants to stop looking like idiots with these varying suspensions, they need to write down a set of suspensions, and stick to it.
They also need to do this for player safety. Players today simply have no respect at all for each other. Torres most definitely know about the controversy from the Neal hit. Yet, he goes out n the game tonight and lays a similar, but even more brutal hit on Hossa. That is completely on him. He chose to throw that hit, even while the league awaited word on Neal's discipline. It really is a shame.
Like I said, there is too much wiggle room for Shanahan or whoever to make these decisions. They need hard-written consequences and need to apply those penalties across the board, regardless of the player, the prior violations or whatever. Until then, this is what we have.
