eye twitching

Still waiting to get a MRI because I'm Claustrophobic, I've been having a lot of eye twitching, when I turn my head a certain direction, I get the spasm in my neck then the twitch. Kindda like a dance, you all know the song it's called "Spasm and Twitch with the Nick" Southern talk fer neck! TEE HEE! "Ride'm Cowboy"
I would but I have no horse! Yee! Haa! I quess I should try the "Bronkin Bull"

WEEEEEEEEE! Ha! this vicodine is great ! only joking!

Just in case no one knows I was in MVA rear ended in April, had pt since then but now the Doc wants me to wait until I see a new neurologist, I didn't like the attitude of the first one and told her I didn't want to see him again, he told me it's because of my age, he really was not very nice didn't really look at the xrays very good, ticked me off.

So anyway!!!!!

It's funny and not funny, I wonder what my customers and clients think when I'm talking to them and my eye starts twitching, I don't say anything, then when I write up a contract my arms shake and my hands, i just tell them I have the D. T's.

Not Really!

My customers are lucky they are not in a car with me when I drive because I have to pull the seat belt down so I can check and see if any cars are coming I have to turn my body just right because I can't turn my head that far.

To make this short story long, I have to go out state and help my Sisters settle my Mothers affairs, we had to put her in a nursing home a few weeks ago, I really don't look forward to doing this, my Daughter is going to drive for me. I know my sisters will joke about my twitching as we are all pretty close and all getting older except for little sis that is a mere 47 I think.

Anyway I guess I'm just rambling but curious to know if anyone does have this problem and if it was diagnosed.

Love reading the post they are very helpful, I print what I feel may help me and keep it logged in a book, everyone is so helpful and Dr. Dave is really great.

Take care to all and may you all have a little time free of pain each day.

God Bless and Take Care

Dillsey

Hi Dilsey

I have no information as to the twitching, though I had some laughs reading your posts, you are a funny person, they say humour is the best medicine!
I know it will be hard to place you mom in the nursing home , my prayers go with you, and for sisters laughing or joking about your twitch, thats sisters for you, though I am sure we all could use some comfort in knowing they care, and joking aside we know they do.
Take care Dilsey
good luck !

P.s. I just started to drive after 2 years , though only at night and maybe just a few blocks , that is to pick up my daughter from a friends house, There is no traffic on the road after 1 am............ and I pray the peeps in the bars stay till in the bar tillll i get home. I drive standard and its not fun, as for turning my neck , I was very tense the next day in my neck , shoulders, and shoulder blades ,, and I thought my foot was going to fall off , the one I use for the clutch. ..........Oh I live on the out skirts of niagara falls and the village has maybe 5 thousand people and 10 bars,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,go figure !

Take care Dilsey

Twitching also

September 27 2002, 6:51 AM

Hi from the UK. My first post here.

I was in RTA 4 years ago. Diagnosed with "Whiplash Associated Disorders" 2 months ago. Regular eye twitching started approx 6 months ago, although occasional before that.

Reading into it it's nothing unusual for whiplash victims.

Getting plenty of sleep seems to help.

twitching

Hi. I was wondering if you had any articles or links you could send me to. I have eye twitching that started up about 3 months after my accident. My left side of my face is all messed up. I have lost hearing, tmj and myofacial pain and some other stuff, but would have to dig my medical records out to even get into that, they list too many muscles and nerves and bone joints, as my injuries are mostly cranial/facet and trapezious pain, with some neck pain.
You can reach me at williams5@mchsi.com
Thanks,
Stacy

Eye Twitching

September 29 2002, 5:15 PM

I had the same thing, with tingling of the tounge, too. in addition to many other things of the nervous system. Hand twitches,

My chest feels like someone is ripping my spine out through my chest.

Go see a chriopractor and ask about

Vertrebral Subluxation Compelx.

Good luck to you...

I know I was very frustrated --- I had my accident in June and they are just finding out what is wrong.

I had MRIs Brain, spine, lumbar, cervical, EMG's.

Also, find a place that has an Open MRI. They do have them. Or ask for a slight sedative. Tell them to keep the room cool, perhaps with a fan blowing on your feet.

I am claustrophic, and I have to do these things. The open MRI is not bad at all.

Let me know what you find out.

twitching

February 9 2003, 1:08 AM

Dillsey,
Hi. You made me laugh in your post. I too have a severely annoying eye twitch. I have pain on the top of my head, meaning, if you want to touch it, I will get postal. The doctors are getting a bit discouraged on that one. I am in pt, I was rearended September 19, 2002, when a man talking on his cell phone didn't even hit his brakes, while I waited in line at a 4 way stop sign. I guess I counted the months wrong from another post. My eye twitching started about 2 months after the accident. I have seen 3 doctors about it, and of course, the stupid thing won't twitch for the doctor to actually see it.
I have severe pain down the left side of my face, with tmj, and severe ear pain. I have a damaged octict nerve, which makes me feel like I have a ear infection 24/7 with intense pain. My neck hurts, the muscle on the top of my head hurts(trapezious) I have bad headaches over the whole front of my head, that NOTHING, not even my immetrix will stop. I get nauseous, I get severe pressure in my head, where my head feels like it is going to blow off, I get this feeling like someone is in the side of my face grabbing my muscle and pulling it as tight as they can.
Do you have any of these symptoms? Just curious. My neck bothers me, but not as bad as my head.
For the eye, I see a cranial manipulation specialist, which does help. I am also being treated by one at my pt appointments. They move the cranial bones around. Mine, they say is under so much pressure from the nerves and muscles, that they are pushing my cranial bones together. There is supposed to be gaps between them, that works like a cushion and helps relieve pressure. Mine are pushed together, so I am building pressure, and with the pressure, I am getting fluid build up. I am limited at what I can do, basically, I do alot of laying around, but, the 19th of Feb. will be month 5. I am so sick of this kind of life I could scream. Over Christmas, I wanted to call the jerk who hit me and wish him a Merry Christmas, but, I minded my manners and bit my tongue.
I wish you luck, but when I posted, someone sent me your way. Have you found any articles about the eye twitching that relates it to whiplash? Just curious.
Write me any time.
Stacy
