I got the MRI results on my my back today....I am totally frustrated...all of my discs are buldging! L2-3, L3-4, L4-5 and L5-S1 with mild compression fracture T12 with minimal wedging and L5 nerve root restriction on the left....so, simply put...my back hurts! I had the MRI of my head and my neck yesterday. I was in the machine for an hour. I did not dare to move because I did not want to have to do it again. I had the worst gag reflex. I was trying so hard not to throw up in the machine! I can't wait to see what that will show! My doctor keeps insisting all of this is old! I just want to choke her!

Rain - Doesn't that just make you crazy when you have an accident and then have pain that you never had before and the doctors dismiss x-ray/MRI findings as "old" stuff.
Honestly, if I had the strength anymore I really would consider choking a few.
When I had my neck MRI, it showed arthritis (and a whole bunch) that I never knew I had or had ever experienced any pain from and one of the doctors tried to blow off all my neck pain as from the arthritis.
I might not be a spring chicken, but I think I can remember from one day to the next what the heck hurts!
Please do let us know about your head/neck MRI results.
No wonder your back hurts!

I was still trying to be in denial. Guess that won't work anymore. I thought I was having a nightmare. My boss had to hire someone to do the rest of my job. I take all the muscle relaxers and pain meds at work so I am not driving on the stuff. So far my errors have only had a single percent rise since the accident. I know my productivity is down. My boss keeps saying as soon as the new person is trained you can take some time off. What does that mean?

Hey Sickandtiredofitall

My neurosurgeon once told me that most people who have DDD (deg disc disease-arthritis) in their neck don't have pain until something happens like a mva, blow to the head, etc.

So, you need to let the insurance company for the other driver that you were pain free until the mva (and can prove it in your medical records which contain no complaints of neck pain).

So, the mva has exaserbated (sp) (this is not the word I want to use, but brain fog, ya know) your neck disease. The pain was not there until the mva.
