I got a message on my voice mail from my doctor telling me she referred me to a neurologist to further evaluate the changes showing on my MRI. I had two one of my neck and one of my brain. The results were ischemic damage resulting in gliosis, possible Multiple Sclerosis. I am glad it is not a mass so I am not in denial but they are saying everything is just life and has nothing to do with MVA. I lost consciousness from the time the SUV hit me from behind...until the time when I was pushed into the other car. I was so dazed when I got out of my truck I almost fell on my face and I kept thinking I was not in good shape. I tried to call the police and my phone was messed up from the impact. The lesion is on the anterior portion of the right parietal lobe....like where my head hit the headrest??

Incredible- your doctor would rather consider multiple sclerosis rather than head trauma as a cause for the gliosis. Just be sure to emphasize the MVA when you get your appointment with the neurologist and point out that the lesion is where your head hit the headrest.
Maybe after they do tests to rule out MS, they will be left to consider the obvious and realize that you have indeed been injured as a result of the MVA.

Make sure you tell the neuro RIGHT Off the bat: I was in a MVA and then tell him your symptoms. Lesions can be caused by head injury. What part of the brain is it? what are your symptoms?

I went to the neurologist and did as was suggested. They ruled out a tumor and ruled out MS, sorta, but they said no way the damage was caused by MVA. I am very upset and my sciatic is going nuts because of it! She said I must have had a stroke and did not know it. I belong to Kaiser. I think I will get married so I can have other insurance....geez!
