HI EVERYONE

FINALLY, some good news!!! I went to see my specialist today, she was out on maternity leave since august...I was fed up and i just broke down and cried when she asked me about a family dr. I told her the trouble I was running into getting my pain meds...she said she would give me a prescription for what my old family dr gave me, she just asked how much you need a month? She wrote me out enough for a month and said she will be definitely sending a letter to that clinic addressed to ALL drs practicing there to give me the proper meds that I need! She said she knows Im not an addict and couldnt believe how much Ive endured without those...so now I starting to take my Demerol again, and for the really bad times Morphine, I gotta feeling tho that I will soon be permanently put on somethng like percocet.

I'll tell you guys something...i was extremely close to a breakdown, suicide was contemplated almost daily, i withdrew from everything and everyone, most days i didnt even get out of bed! my family got the mood swings...worst of all my house turned into a pig sty! I couldnt help it tho so much pain i can barely function, at least now finally i have some relief!

I cant get over how kind she was, she's even gonna see if my old family dr can see me at the hospital where he practices, mostly for in patients, thats the problem, plus she said if i ever have any problems getting my prescriptions, to call her right away, she'll give me a prescription and she only has to see me every 6 months while crohns is in remission!! I truly found a keeper, shes the first dr I opened up to since old family doc...anyway, Im babbling now, thanks to all of you, and so sorry that I neglected everyone lately but i neglected my whole life these last few months...time to make it up.

BTW, lawsuit is actually progressing well, should have it settled by the summer, i sure hope so!!!

OH ANNIE, I'm so glad you found her. We all know what it's like when your in pain and no pain killers and no doctor to care.

I have missed you although I haven't been very active either. I was worried about you but I guess I was very selfish and should have called you. Sometimes I get caught up in "Poor Me" and don't do the things I should for my friends.

Tell the boys and hubby I said HI and you hang in there girlfriend. I'm so happy for you Annie that you finally have someone you can count on to help you medically thru this.

Annie - I am so relieved and glad you are finally able to get some decent pain meds again. Now you can finally start to get your life back. Take it easy and pace yourself carefully with sorting out the house. It's good to hear happy news from you. Take care.

i will definitely take my time with house but i got a long road to get it done, thanks for your concern...actually i think i might relax for a couple of days...get used to the feeling of living again!

Tammy, you are not responsible for me, so dont blame yourself dear friend!!! actually, you described me to a tee, about the poor me syndrome...butI'll tell you something, it was EXTREMELY rough for the last few months...tylenol 3s were doing nothing for pain, plus it was destroying my tummy. sometimes i thought, most times really, that the medical system doesn't give a darn!!! At least there is someone out there who gives a hoot in the med system!!!

My boys and hubby are relieved that i will finally get some relief, at least I'll be able to do the simple things,,,i promised older son a trip to the theatre on friday, hes dying to see TMNT! I will tell them you said hi, hubby too, hes getting up for work now.

has any1 heard from CAA? I feel like i really let her down, i should have responded to kay too and i am so sorry...if you two are reading this, i will send you an e mail later today, i'm going back to bed. take care all

Annie I am so relieved that you finally got someone to listen and help you with your pain. No one should have to endure that kind of pain these days. Maybe now you can get your life back on track and enjoy your family like you should have been able too! That is NOT too much to ask from your doctors. I am glad your dr. listened, REALLY listened to you!

It is a big relief!!! I wanted to start cleaning the house today, well kids were in school all day and my pain level was the lowest its been since september, well...i ended up sleeping most of the day...boy it felt great tho!!

I didnt think there was someone else with a heart like hers, well not in the medical field anyway...she didnt have to do that for me, shes my crohns specialist which means she doesnt handle any other health issue for me!!!

I think I might go to bed soon,,, how are you guys doing these days...sorry but i hadnt read many posts in the last few months so update me please!!!

Annie, I have been pretty good. My pain levels at the moment are very bearable!! Thank goodness! I just know that I have to watch what I do and take care of myself.
My hubby and I are going next week to Las vegas for a car show and drag races. I am glad that we can get away, not that I enjoy the heck outta cars, but the getting outta dodge is good!

I agree , somebody with a heart and not afraid of prescribing meds to those who NEED THEM !

I am overjoyed , somebody went to bat for you ... and you can find relief in all that horrid pain you have suffered with far too long .
