Most of you know me and how I feel about my Aunt. Please pray for her. I haven't been able to post on the forum due to her condition. We went to the hospital today after my aunt had an allergic reaction to Valium. They did a test to check the valves of her heart and that was when she had the reaction. They gave her a Valium before the surgery and during the test is when everything went wrong. They thought she had another stroke but later found out it was an adverse reaction. She was unresponsive for quite some time and then she did do a little better.

I'm not ready to let her go dear friends. My Aunt is just like my mother. My mom loved me but she didn't make me feel good about myself the way my aunt has. She is the closest thing I have to a real mom. She's my mother's sister but they were nothing alike. She's the kindess and most loving person. I don't know what I would do without her in my life.

They say they don't at this point think there's anything surgical they can do but they will look at it. The only thing now is to use drugs to control the situation. She has heart disease and the valve with the stents they put in are already 90% blocked with the other side at 80% blocked.

The doctor was so apologetic because he says out of about 5,000 times he's done this that this is only the second person he's had a problem with. It was suppose to be routine.

I can't sleep and all I can do is cry. Please send all the prayers you can.

Hi Tammy, I am so sorry to hear what is going on. I too have a similar worry as you. My Mom is 82 & I worry EVERY time take her in! I'm depressed. I've cried many times after a couple few have passed on . 10-3-05 was my 1st. grand baby passed away. I still cry for my baby. 10 more lost in past & alot of tears. Tammy, I will be praying for your Aunt Betty AND for you! Hang on & I will help in anyway you want as even a shoulder to lean on!!! sure others will be too! Luv, Karen

I have been in and out of the hospital all day and although my aunt is talking better she's very confused. She's acting like my mother did before she passed and I'm trying to face that we won't have much time with her.

I'm so very tired so I'll close for now but I knew today that I had your prayers with me.

She at least knew who I was today but I'm afraid her mind is shutting down. My family doctor says it's what happens at the end...your mind protects you.

God help me through this and give me strength to accept life without her.

Let me tell you a short moment with my best friend .

My best friends doctor told her .. her cancer had spread from her colon to her liver to her lungs and basically told my best friend to get her ducks in order as she has approx six months to live and possibly a year with chemo and radiation treatment .

My girlfriend was sent out of town for more testing and a doctor in Toronto told her that he can now save her life !!!

and she was doomed dead ! soon

and a mother figure in your life your Aunt Betty ...
now very ill ...

Please hold onto hope Tammy ... as much as it seems like there is none ...

Oh Tammy, I was so hoping by now that she would be doing much better.

Sending more prayers for you, your aunt and family for a quick recovery.

I am so blessed to have friends like I have on this forum.

I'm loosing her and I'm just not ready. I can see it in her eyes and I can't stand she's lost her mind.

Something happened when she was in surgery and they say it wasn't a stroke. I guess it's the end no matter how I try to face it. I need someone to be mad at and right now I'll be mad at the doctor.

My cousin isn't giving me too much trouble but that changes from day to day. She's under so much stress I'm just trying to overlook it.

I find it very hard to let go .. and I'm going to pray for amiracle .. for your Aunt Betty .
My brother had a stroke Tammy mind you . .he is about in his late fifty's ...maybe a wee bit more...
and at first .. he was in grave condition .. he collasped at work ... and he is now on the road to a full recovery .
The doctors did not think he was going to make it and he did

Aunt Betty argues that she's not in the hospital. Of all things she thinks she's at my house.

My cousin today was so rude...finally after two days Aunt Betty knows who Dana is and my cousing....Carla makes light of it and doesn't understand that if it's the last time Dana sees her she will remember she knew her.

Her mind is going and doesn't really seem to be getting any better but yes Red I still have hope.

I'm not sure but I don't think if this is the best she can get that she wants that. I just don't know.

I love you all and while this is going on I will try to post as often as I can.
