Just a note to let you know my aunt is doing very well. She came thru surgery and her mind was clear and she seems like she's going to be ok for now.

I really appreciate all of your prayers, I know they helped.

I just don't know what I would do without all of your help.

Gentle hugs, Tammy

Tks CCA. It's been a rough time...not ready to let her go. Now their talking that maybe after a day in the hospital and some time at the nursing home she may be able to go home.

It's just every time she goes home she ends back in the hospital. I know she doesn't have a long time but it would be nice to have her a long as possible.

I know your prayers helped....I do believe that. She's a great little woman and I know that God wants her home soon. It's nice though that he has given us more time and her mind is clear so we can be a good as we can to her and spend more quality time with her.

Gentle hugs and love, Tammy

Tammy, she is blessed to have people in her life that care for her as much as you do - is there anything more important than that?

My Grandma lived with us for just under a year when she passed away. She had gotten to where she wouldn't eve know us 2/3 of the time - it was so sad to see this strong, amazing women deteriate right before our eyes. What made it even harder is that we had our MVA when she had been here only 3 weeks! So, here we were in pain trying to care for ourselves, our 4 kids and her - indeed a VERY trying time!!

But, what I want to tell you is how many times we would be heading home (from Doctors, restaurants, whatever) and she would start looking for her keys - she of course had lived 2 states away and we were heading toward MY house She was very confused a lot of the time. Anyway, what would happen (especially toward the end) is she would start crying. I would ask her what was wrong and she would say she didn't want to go home, she was lonely there, she wanted to stay longer with us. We would tell her she was staying with us and she had her own room and bathroom (this was important) and we wanted her there forever. She would stop crying and say how blessed she was but really it worked both ways! It just brings home the fact that having people around you that love you is the best medicine!

Sky
who knows you and your Aunt are blessings to each other

Sky it sounds like u know exactly what I'm going thru.

Seems like she's doing well so far. She's back at the nursing home and she wanted me to come take her outside and smoke. Yes I said smoke. I called my cousin and she went but I'll have to cross that bridge tomorrow I'm sure.

I can't say no to her since she's the one that has to make the decision and I too smoke.

It means the world to me to have the support here at the forum. I appreciate u all and my aunt was told you were praying for her.

Gentle hugs, Tammy

Hi Tammy
I think Sky is right. As long as you and your aunt are a blessing to each other she is home. God will call her when he knows your ready and not before. Hang in there and enjoy the time she has left with you. It will do you both a world of good. Our prayers will always be with you whenever you need them. You don't even have to ask. Take care and take it easy.
