Yipee!

Well I'm back form the injections. And man I feel great! I would have posted earlier but my arm and fingers were so numb on the right I couldn't do anything.

We sat and discussed my SPECT scan. He was upset that my PCP didn't have my lumbar done at the same time so I'll have to go back in and have another scan done next month.

He ended up doing the facet injections to C4,5,6,7 on the right side. He said my left side also is screwed up so we'll decide next month when I go back in, when we'll do those. I ended up having them done with just local. No IV or anything ahead of time. It really wasn't that bad at all. Hopefully this works. As of right now, this is the first time in 2years that I don't have a headache. I could kiss the doc's feet. This is wonderful.

He's hoping that I still have pain relief when I go back in for my next visit, but if not he said that we would have to discuss about having those nerves burned. I figure I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. Right now I'm just going to enjoy feeling good.

Hey Tspauld - try the 'soft' ice packs. These offer the best relief. Good Luck - it's when the freezing wears off that the 'nasty' stuff starts. Hopefully the cortisone will kick start some healing for you. LOL's - but it was a nice feeling while it lasted, wasn't it? I sat up smiling when I had my first medial branch block. It felt so darn good to not feel the pain anymore. Take care.

Thanks Sick!

Oh I'm a icing. Its the only way I can get comfortable right now.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

And yes the few hours of pain free that I got were wonderful. I'm grateful to have had at least that much.

Oh Tspauld such a wonderful feeling only to have it taken away Maybe this will be the answer and you'll be able to have that feeling for much longer periods! Maybe even forever - now wouldn't that be a dream come true!! I will keep my fingers crossed for you!
