| Dang it,, 7 years since accident and the aftermath of minor brain injury still haunt you.
I got in trouble recently,,, I am easily distracted,,, I depend on notes to keep tracks of my "must need to do",,,,,,, I was to attend a meeting,, but,, just before I was to go, my dog announced he had to go potty.. so I took him out,, on my way out,, a friend bragged about his new car.. another distraction,, 2 of them in short time... when I got back in with my dog,, my train of thought just poofed on me about meeting,, so when someone told me about it,, i replied with (bleep) and left.
Guess what,, no one bleieved me,, the committee decided that I totally forgot the meeting cuz of my bleep to someone and penalized me....
life isn't fair!

Oh Lee...I went to put a new filter in the furnace the other day....thought it would need a new one but found I had months ago taken the old one out and not put another one in. I know what you mean. I think mine is from the meds but not too sure...could be I'm getting older too. My memory is s*** so I do carry a note from my pain management doctor that I am on meds that make my memory bad. That came from where I forgot my tags on my truck last year and it had been 5 months. You might remember it was where my daughter went to get air in my tires and she had to call me to come get her....they had my truck towed.
I hope it didn't cause you too much trouble Lee. Mine cost me a ticket and over $100 in towing.
Your right Lee about life just isn't fair. Don't you know most of the bad people in the world never get caught but people like us always do.

Well, who wouldn't say bleep if they forgot a meeting? What in the world did they expect you to say? I am pretty sure that you reacted the exact way all of the committee would have when they were reminded they forgot something - geez!
I do know my memory and all of my brain for that fact, seems to be missing! It is absurd how much I forget these days - I always wonder if it will come back!

I don't know Sky,,,
I was told that we all who had whiplash could had something similar to shaken baby syndrome if one had high impact accident. The impact speed of the truck that hit me was equavlant to about 75mph (large truck to small car theory).
Some recover quickly, some takes years............. all in all, it is one sign of minor brain injury.... hard to prove but doctors can suspected it as it did in my case becuase I lost conscuous when I got hit.
UPDATE,,, I am filing an appeal,,, my pychologist is willing to write a report of my thought/memory processing disorder.. let hope it works...

I won the appeal!!!! Email from my pychologist worked to convince the committee to reverve the penality.
