I was checjung how much snow we got, and I found an anniversary video of the Ice storm of 1998.

I was sitting here watching it this morning and found a clip of myself, hubby, our oldest when she was a baby and our friends daughter sitting at a table at our local shelter.

I recall we got the tail end of this storm ... and the falls was BEAUTIFUL !
The beauty of the ice on every thing !

yet the damages and havoc on families out weighs the beauty

no heat no power etc etc etc ...

half of niagara went without power and I was the lucky one on this side of niagara with power.

Nothing like crappy weather huh? It does look beautiful, the ice, AFTER the power comes back and the roads are safe! We also had that ice torture...lines down, trees frozen to the roads it was scary!

Tspauld, do you still have a lot of snow? We only have about 6 inches, we had so much rain and freezin rain that it took over 3 feet of snow with it, but we are having flood problems around here...so ya can't win!

Jeez Red, I think its about 1/4 to 1/3 of the way through. I'm sitting at a table back to, beside me their is a man in a baseball hat holding an infant. I'm sitting right beside him feeding the baby. That would be my oldest.

Oh I haven't been up to Niagara Falls since February 1995. Hubby and I decided to go on a road trip one weekend and we drove up and spent the night in Buffalo. We spent the next day in Niagara and even drove over to the Canadian side. We went to the top of the Skylon tower and had lunch and took some beautiful pictures.

Oh jeez Annie. I am so sick of snow. We had another storm come through Monday. Hubby is still working on getting the area around my clothesline shoveled out. We got a lovely 19 inches. And we've got a mix storm coming in tomorrow morning. At this rate the kids will still be in school for the 4th of July.
