For a long time, I had repeatly told my kids to LEAVE THE CELL PHONE ALONE while driving,, they don't listen to me,,

well, tonight my daughter picked up her cellphone to call someone and almost wreck her car! I was in car with her,, I then STOLE the phone from her and said,, i won't give back until we are home.

Why are some drivers so stubborn?

Oh Geez Lee - I have the same problem with my daughter. If she calls me and I can tell she is driving while talking I tell her goodbye and to phone me back later when she is not driving! I think the younger generation just don't understand that they have to give their full attention to their driving.
It makes me crazy when I see all these different drivers on the road with one hand on the wheel talking away on their phones.
Honestly I will be happier if they pass laws against using the cell phone while driving.
Sheesh! Glad to hear it wasn't more serious.

Dang Lee,
I too can not understand why people think they can
drive with one hand and their eyes on their phone.
I wanted to be able to answer my phone in the car.
so I went to a discount store and brought a headset
and mount for my phone the headset is great and the
mount is right in front of me. This way I can answer
the phone by touching the headset by my right ear just
a little touch and thats all. I ragged on my daughter
untill she got a bluetooth. As far as calling someone
unless they are programed in to the phone they do not
need to hear from me while I am in the car.
Some state are going to make it a law that you have
a bluetooth on headset. I have had a headset for the
last 15 years. I have too have both hands on the wheel
it is the why I was taught to drive.

Tell me about it,, my state (Washington) already has law in force that you can be ticketed for using cellphone to either talk on or text messaging. Still, my kids don't get it!

I think part of the problem here,, even though there's law against cellphone/text messenging is that police don't pull you over for that UNLESS you did something else wrong (secondary offense).
