A new beginning

Hi Everyone
It's been a long time since I posted here. Sorry for the lapse in time and judgment. Well I'm here to say hello to the new people and welcome back to some of us who left for awhile.
Here is the update on Annie and our little family. Since we left there have been a few trials and tribulations in our lives. Annie may have her Chrons Disease back since her tummy has been giving her a lot of problems lately. She has been going to the doctor for it but at this point we have to wait and see. Her head, neck and traps are still giving her lots of problems and she seems to be handling them well. at least right now she seems to be handling them. Annie can be on tough girl at times. Paul, our oldest son has had a brain tumor and it has been successfully removed after he started having seizures. He gets a CT/MRI in 2 years to find out if it is going to come back. Pray it never will. There are some psych problems that we have to watch out for along the way but he is doing better then we expected. It's a long bumpy road for him for the next 2 years. He seems like he's dealing with it as things crop up but he's a real fighter and I know he won't give up. His neurosurgeon was real impressed with him. He told us that he was a stronger man emotionally then most of the adults he has to deal with. Not a bad pat on the back for a 13 year old.
Our little guy we call Booberbutt seems to have faired the best out of us all. He's his usual hyper self except when he's got a cold or flu. He is doing better in school than we expected. Usually hyper-active kids with a defiant disorder have a hard time adjusting to a school environment without being medicated. Congratulation on the hard work Boober. Then we have me. I still have my stress issues which are getting better and easier to deal with but life can throw some real curve balls at you while your not looking. A good example was when Paul was in ICU after his tumor was removed and I had a seize of my own in the chair next to his bed and he saw the whole episode. I was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm myself. It turned out to be a vein that has a larger then normal bend in it and was misdiagnosed. Although that's not a good term to use since it was found and checked into further. They do plan on keeping an eye on it because it can become a problem and become a real aneurysm. Things have been getting back to normal or at least as normal as it can get lately. That's a quick update for now. I'm glad to be back and we hope to see more old friends and some new friends here too.
P.S. Thanks for chatting Lee. I hope that everyone does come back. I do miss our online family. Tammy, thank you for all your help and to repay you we now pay it up the line to help others. Keep us in your prayers. You are all in ours.

Snow

January 13 2009, 6:38 AM

Hi CAA
I hope your operation is a success to the point you won't need it and the recovery is so fast you miss it. Since you won't be up and around, sit back and enjoy the winter mess everyone else has to deal with. I envy that aspect of it. I don't like shoveling but I do like the snow. We seem to be getting our share of snow here too. Every other day we get 2 to 3 inches it seems like. But spring is just around the corner and the new year will truly be ours to enjoy. It feels good to be here and I/we did miss this place. Annie's will here to post on and off a lot more then she has. She misses everyone very, very much. Our family is no where complete without all of you. With all that happened to us, we needed you to be there. The real comfort was that we knew that everyone was not just behind us 100% but beside us for the journey. I really do hope everyone comes back.

Good morning,
It is clear this morning. We won't have snow
till afternoon!! My friend will come by this
morning, pick me up and drive me into town.
Yippie Skippie I will get every thing done
today. May have to go on up to the Motel
by the Surgery Center tonight depends weather.
If they start calling for it to snow tonight
and tomorrow I think going up tonight would
be better on my nerves then sliding in tomorrow.
Will just have to see how it plays out.
And I love the idea of recovery being so fast
that I miss it!!! Dang but that would be great!!
I hear that is the worst part of all this. LOL

Tell Annie good morning for me. And give those big
boys a bear hug for me to keep them warm the whole
day through.

Get Well Soon

January 15 2009, 6:19 PM

It's night time here and Annie took the boys to a minor hockey game and our nephew is coaching one of the teams. They all said HI! I just happened to catch your post before I hit the hay. I go to bed early to get up early. 2:30 am comes way too soon. But I'll always have time to stop and chat for a minute. You take it easy and listen to the doctors. We're all here beside you keeping you company. I'll be back tomorrow and I'll bring Annie too.

HI AH, Annie and boys. I've missed talking to you but it sounds like you've had your hands full. I know we all feel like we've been dumped on since our MVA but your family has had way too much. Your love has held strong thru it all and now it's time to have a long break from the illness that has hit your family. Your good people but it's always the good that get hit the hardess. I'm proud of you all for standing by each other and getting thru all that's been thrown at you.

I don't get online much anymore but all the friends I've made here are never far from my thoughts.

It's hard on almost everyone with the way things are right now with finances. I believe everyone could use a little help and I pray we get it.

My youngest daughter Amy has moved back in with me. She's hasn't lived with me since she was about 19 and she's now 36. It's been hard on her but I'm enjoying having someone here with me.

I miss you all. Gentle hugs, Tammy

Annie, give the boys a hug from me
