Hope you had a nice holiday! I have moved in with my Mom and just could afford internet so here I am. It is nice to see everyone is here and that you are keeping up with the posts. I tried to read some of the past to catch up. Nothing on my end has changed, still no medical insurance, workers comp hearing postponed and have filed final appeal on SSDI. My mother who is 79 yrs old and still worked 32 hours a week at a nursing home was in a car accident on Dec. 1 and is going through all the problems everyone on here has or still is. She was slowing down for the cars in front of her and a driver plowed into the back of her car. It spun her into a 360 turn and she wound up facing the opposite direction. He never saw her I it seems until making the impact which was going 55 to 60 mph. She is scared to drive now and wouldnt even get her rental car or look at new cars. I am fortunate to be there to help her. It is sad to see how this accident has robbed her of her life! Whatever he was doing at the time caused her a world of problems including not being able to work anymore. She is in pain all the time and very frustrated!
I try not to complain anymore because she is the greatest example for me and wish I could do more for her. So I do hope everyone enjoys a good week!
Happy New Year Judi,
I pray this will be the year that everything
gets settled for you.
So sorry to hear about your Mother. I will
add her to my Prays.

Thank you so much! How are you doing? I haven't been able to keep in touch but now hopefully I will do better this year. Hope things are better for you.
Judi,
I am hanging in there. I got myself a brand
new right knee last wen. And they want me to
do the other in 6 to 8 weeks. I think I am
going to have really really think about it!!!
Right now I just want the pain to go away. LOL
Sorry I missed your post of Jan 9 talking about the TKR. How are you making out? I had my right THR and they wanted to do the left hip 6-8 weeks later too but I wouldn't let em do it. Too soon-I wasn't healed up from the first surgery to jump right into another one. But that's your decision. Just don't let em rush you.
When you can fully put weight on that knee without any pain, then you should be ready.
Hi Donna,
I know what you mean this is not a easy surgery.
I am just going to wait and see. But everyone
saids that if you have to have it done get it over with.
Hope that you are doing well. Keep praying that some
of the oldies will show up and say hi. But so far
just a very few have been in. Oh well I can always
hope.

Hi Judi, Donna and CAA
Donna is right. Don't let the doctors rush the next surgery. Everyone heals at a different rate and they should realize that. Annie's grandmother had both knees done at the same time and she cursed the day she made that decision. It affected her walking ever since. She wasn't given time to heal and given Physio too soon and too intensely for her age and the pain stayed with her. The pain and aggravation wasn't nearly as bad as before the surgery but there was still some there. She never regretted getting it done just getting both done at the same time. Yet I know one other person that had one knee done and it never bothered him at all after the replacement. I hope this didn't scare you to much. Remember that everyone is different and that's what makes each one of us special. CAA take it easy and take the time you need to get back on your feet. We are all here for you.
No H.A. you are not scaring me. I am going to have it done in over with
before summer so that for the 1st time in many many years I can enjoy all the
thing that I have had to give up because of the pain. Hubby's just is thrilled
thinking that I will be back on the Harley with him. LOL He even said I should
start riding my own bike, now that I will be able to with new knee's. I am not to sure about that but who knows LOL
And there is this big surprise 40th Ann. party in June that it would be nice to dance
at. My children do not know that I know!! LOL But I am perfecting my surprise
look!!! LOL
So I guess life is going full force ahead!! How is your vacation plans comming along?
Maybe today more people will stop by and post a note.

Hi All
CAA I'm glad you have a positive outlook going through this. That's a major piece in the recovery process. Don't rush things if you think you may have a set back but it doesn't sound like that is going to happen. Hubby is right. You can have your life back but on a motorcycle you still have to be careful. Maybe not from what your doing but rather from what other drivers may do. Congrats on the big 40 anniversary. Please save me a dance on that very special day. I can't be there in body but I'll be there in spirit. I hope hubby won't mind. I know Annie won't mind my dancing with someone who just got their life back on track and is raring to go.
Our vacation plans are giving us some trouble. It seems that there are too many places we would love to go and not enough money to see them all. My sister invited us out to her place on the west coast and I think we may go. Now to figure out the best time. The one trip we would really love to go on is the one that gets us to see everyones smiling face from this site. After all there is a piece of all of you in all of us now. I know that's a pipe dream but sometimes dreams can come true. After everything we experienced this past year we know dream sometimes do have a way of coming true when you least expect it. The Big Man upstairs does look after us even when we think we don't deserve him. Well time to go for now but I'll be back. Take care everyone.
AH,
I know what you mean. We always talked about taking a Cruise.
But my Dream has always been to travel from one Coast to the Other
on RT 66. Yeh that right "I want to get my thrill on Route 66"
It would alot more fun then spend my money on junk to bring back
from some Island some where. This is part of what America is all
about. Hubby is not ready to Retire yet so there is still time
for me to win on this one. LOL And My Grandbabies can go with!!!
