First, thanks CAC for the link to Bone Smart. I got some great info on that site.

Last month, I got 3 MRI's done on the same visit (didn't know you could do that in one visit). It was on my left hip, right knee and left knee. It showed I still have AVN (avascular necrosis) in my left hip and torn meniscus and Baker's cysts in both knees (left worse than right).

Doc wants to do multiple surgeries. So, next Friday (3/27), I'm going to have a core decompression (which is where they drill holes in the hip to relieve the build-up of pressure which doesn't cure the AVN but supposedly relieves the pain. It was that or total hip replacement. I had the right hip total hip replacement almost 2 yrs ago but there's a long recuperation period (3-6 mths vs. 4-6 wks on crutches and/or walker). This should buy me a couple years pain relief tho. Then he wants to do the laproscopy on left knee and possible total knee replacement on left knee, then right knee same but not right away cuz pain is not as bad right as the left knee.

This is not good cuz I really need to work part-time real soon cuz my son's check from social security will stop once he graduates end of May. My check will continue but his will stop after next month. That's over $600 decrease in monthly benefits.

I wish everyone would come back and post once in awhile. I come here often but don't see alot of posts. Glad to see Red, CAC, Annie, my sis-Judi and Lee post pretty regularly. Even if ya all just stop in and just say hi and let us know you're ok would be nice.

Sorry post is so long, but you know me, I ramble a bit when I do come on, lol.

Hi Donna ... oh la la ... tis been a rough road and I can relate as most here can .. the financial end of things is just not good .. and pain non stop will make the sanest crazy ... some days we wonder how are we going to get throuh today , never mind tomorrow . Donna you are facing big time medical treatment and I wish you the best .. I can only pray your financial woes turn around too .. If it's not one thing its another and if it don't all hit us all at once , inwhich it makes it more overwhelming than ever.
I think of you all the time along with the rest of this family here .. I'm only guessing every one is too busy to peek in once in awhile and after all the trolls Chit , I see a few still lurking around . I see they have nothing better to do ... must lead boring disgusting lives .

On a happier note .. I'm glad you checked in .. it's nice to talk to my rescuers .. that helped me when I came here lost and alone .

I don't feel alone anymore .. because of you all here who mean a lot to me.

Donna ... take one day at a time kiddo ... I know it's hard to embrace just that .. but it makes it easier .. so not to look ahead of what's to come as our plate is too full to worry about it .. Let it all play out the way it's suppose to do .. it can't get any worse .. so it has to get better .. RIGHT ? Right .

Hi Donna,
So glad that you liked Bone Smart!! I just love it. I am now 9 weeks out on right knee and 2 weeks on the left. I am so glad to be on the other side. Now every day it will get better. I have had a few set backs with my neck, it has decided to go back in to muscle spazams because of the walker and cane's. But even that should settle back down after I am able to walk and get out of chairs unaided. By June I have hopes of being able to dance at 40th Ann. party. And then put the big Flag Days event on the next weekend. That is all I am asking for. I look forward to seeing you on Bone Smart.
