Yeah, it was tough for us. Managed to scrape 18 lbs together but a grind from start to finish Still all in all some good weights with about 10-12 teams over 20 lbs; damn good fishing considering the changing conditions. Long time since it took less the 30 to take a large event. Those young guys do a pretty good job running a tournament too.

I know my partner and I had a ok morning bite we had a little more than 20lbs I dont know about the rest of the field. Some guys I talked to only had five bites all day and they landed them.We had to work really hard for all of them.Congrats to the winners it was nice to see somebody else get a little piece of the pie.You really have to work harder for the fish now.All I know is that it was hot as all getout today.See you all at the next one.

We were able to limit out pretty early but not much weight to them. Lost our best at the boat, about 5-6 lbs. Rain started about 12:30 or so; caught 2 4's right before it really came down, figured it was game on, but never caught another good fish. Flipping bite was pretty much not happening for us; same as the worm bite. Caught our fish on top. Saw a few decent cruisers but no luck with them. Its amazing how quick the gators vanish when water starts pushing into the flats. I agree with Bassin';good to see a different winner come out of the pack. Figure it might get even tougher for the next few weeks 'til the fish find their new homes. Maybe then the flats and flippin' bite might be on the upswing. The night fishing on the Alley should be getting strong too soon.

The winner was Ross Myers Partner but with out ross , Not a bad turn out since some clubs called Alex all week and threaten him to pull boats out if Steve and Rodd fished , I am glad Alex stood by his guns and Told these guys to get a life.

no chance of me spilling the beans , as a Fellow Director I will steer clear of Director bashing in the Open , But Alex is one hell of a nice guy and didnt deserve the treatment , But I promised him I would return the favor. We have the best fishery on the planet and it should be enjoyed by everyone and to not fish because of rumors is not the way to go . As you can see by the results there are a bunch of new names on the chart , minus the Great John Pate and Jp McKay and the Legend Doug Harris........................BLM
