Man o man it was hot. Put in at Holiday at 8 oclock and ran down L67. Fished all the airboat cuts and the wier and only picked up a few small fish. Made the run to Tamiami and started catching fish at the first airboat rental. Caught fish all the way to the back of the trail. Biggest fish was 5.5. Storms came in the afternoon and we got wet just before we got back to Holiday. Started fishing the basin just for fun and just tore up the big fish. Got tired of catching 3-5 pounders every cast. It was a slugfest. Have to travel fopr the next month and by then the good fishing will pretty much be over til it cools down some.

Where in the hell is this basin everybody keeps talking about.
You don't have to tell me exactly but a few clues please.

The pump station right there at the boat ramp at holiday! when hte pumps are running the fishing is hot!

The basin is the area right by the launch ramps..after a tournament the fish that were caught are released there..and they hang around and can be recaught..dumb fish
