| Has anyone fished the south end of the lake lately? Haven't been to the lake since all the hurricanes and plan on a four day camping and fishing weekend. I understand that fishing is basically limited to the rim canal. Is there any vegetation anywhere in the canals? If staying in Clewiston will best shot be southeast or northwest? Thanks |

I heard that the Clewiston Cut was the way to go. Fish the edge's going out into the main lake as far as you feel comfortable. Rattle traps, cranks, spinnerbaits and c-rig's are the way to go. If you see any bait or boils you will have a blast....

I'd stay in Clewiston and fish the Clewiston channel. We have been catching a lot of fish there and thats your best bet for a big one as well. |

Didn't catch much. Caught a few in the shipping channel but the wind came up and stopped that. Found some small fish on rip-rap just west of the lock with worms. Rim canal has several stumps just at the water surface that made me nervous. When there was much of a chop couldn't see the stumps. Got to be careful. | |
