By the way if you are fishing the Ghost and Goblins Tournament there has been one rule change. The rule stating that no dead fish will be allowed to be weighed has been changed to a 1 pound penalty for any dead fish brought to the scales and that fish will be inelligable for big fish pot.

Should have left that rule the way it was!

if you want to change a rule after the rules are printed and sent out change the 12" rule to 14".

What This Permit Does NOT Allow:
Fishing with out a Freshwater Fishing License unless you are exempt by law from needing one.
Exceeding the daily bag limit.
Culling dead fish. All dead fish are a part of your bag and must be part of the weigh-in.
Keeping any of the fish after the weigh-in.

so culling a dead fish is gainst state law? if htats the case half the bags will have dead fish good luck policing that one!

culling dead fish against the law??????? J are you serious.. of course culling dead fish is against the law so is having a 1/32" short fish (without exemptions) in your livewell all day waiting to go to the ramp for a courtesy measurement...

forgot to mention.... so is a team having a 3rd fish that measures 22 1/32" (with no exemptions) and is waiting for weigh in to see if it checks...

courtesy measurements are only legal if your fish is legal, if your fish does not measure on either end of the too short or too long scale, you have broken a state law by placing that fish in your livewell... breaking a state law for most trails is reason for dqing of angler... so how does a trail offer courtesy checks and when a fish doesn't measure they just let you throw it back.. you broke a state law, you should be d.q.'d...

i just find it hard to believe any of the fishermen out there will actualy follow the rule and not cull a dead fish!

Well personally I don't think there is anything wrong with someone slipping a gator a dead 1 pounder every once in a while, let him have an easy meal for once, but if you use exemptions you have to bring them in.... and if guys know it's against the rules I would think they would want to play by the rules wouldn't you?...

But your point is a good one, I have heard talk, "dead fish should be a 1.00 penalty or 2.00 penalty.. now you are guaranteeing that no one will bring in a dead fish... just keep a penalty slight and guys will bring them in, but make it too punitive and they will slip those suckers back under the pads.....

...competitions don't start with the printing of a flyer. If a rule needs to be "amended", do it before the start of the event. Don't leave it unchanged if the change is for the better just because it's in print already.
